Ever been in an email trail that goes on and on, with people replying all collaborating with feedback and ideas? Does this same email chain happen on a regular occasion? Are files/documents shared for people to review and you then must go back through your emails to try and find it at a later date?
But do you actually have a platform where you can all chat and share ideas, such as Microsoft Teams? With the ability to have a team and a channel to send messages to each other and upload files for people to share their feedback, the need for an email trail has surely gone. However, we may step away from our inbox for an hour and we have 30 responses from an email trail asking, “what should we do about the upcoming newsletter for the end of the month”.
It is within human nature to adapt to change and processes, but sometimes we find it harder than others. We are known to stay within our comfort zones and stick to processes that we are comfortable and happy with. So maybe that is why people in business are still sending emails around the whole team rather than using your smart swanky UC platform that your IT team invested so much in.
So how can we start to adapt the ways are businesses are working and make sure that we are making the most of these UC&C tools? Well first off, we need to make sure we have the relevant data in place to see how the platform is being used.
With Code’s Clobba MT you can track full user adoption of Microsoft Teams across the business, we can analyse what Teams have been created, who is in them and the full activity within all the channels. Giving business the right information to make sure that their Microsoft Teams licenses are being used, along with the ability to see the activity for each of these teams we can start to identify the issues to fix and make sure we are getting the most out of this platform.
So now we’ve got the data, lets look at our top 3 tips for getting your business to adapt to Microsoft Teams.
- Share to Outlook
If people are stuck in their ways preferring to use outlook rather than Teams, then do not be afraid to share the conversation to outlook allowing them to revert back to the conversation on Teams. It’s an easy and simple way to make sure that they remember Teams is there to use.
- Share your files through Teams
Let’s stop sharing our files through email. Upload your files through teams, to make sure that everyone must go through teams to go see them. The more that Teams is used as a necessity, the more the individual will want to use Teams.
- Find your Teams Champions
Shout about it. Find those people who champion the platform and get them to get this filtered through the business. Finding people to spread the message and the way it can benefit the way you work; we can influence everyone to use it in their day to day.
So, there you have it, our top 3 tips of how to use Teams. It would be great to get your feedback on how Teams has been adopted into your business or your customers. We are always adapting our software to make sure we are helping customers get the data they want to make informed decisions.
